"Secret Place Urban Lodging is exclusively for solo travelers, with one guest per room. Rates are for two night of lodging, based on single occupancy, and are subject to state and local taxes. Advance reservations are highly recommended and must be secured with a Visa or MasterCard. Full payment for the reservation is required at the time of booking. As a private facility, Secret Place is reserved solely for the use of overnight guests. To ensure a peaceful environment, we ask that guests respect the quiet enjoyment of those in neighboring properties at all times."

CANCELLATION

  Your reservation is a binding agreement between you and Secret Place Urban Lodging. By making a reservation, we agree to provide you with accommodation on the date(s) you have selected. In turn, by booking with us, you agree to adhere to all Secret Place policies and are responsible for paying the full amount of the reservation. The cancellation terms specific to your reservation are provided before you confirm your booking with a credit card, whether made online or by phone.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes lead to cancellations. However, as a small business, cancellations have a significant impact on our operations and the services we offer. For this reason, all cancellations from the time the reservation is made are strictly non-refundable, and no exceptions can be made to our cancellation policy.

NO SHOW POLICY 

   If the guest doesn’t show up they will be charged the total price. Please note that rescheduling your stay constitutes a cancellation.

ARRIVAL AND  DEPARTURE

Check-In 4:00 - 6:00 pm All other times must be pre-arranged prior to arrival, otherwise, the reservation is canceled @ 6 pm. (No Refund Issued)

We do not accept Late Night Check-Ins!  Arrangements must be made for early Check-In    Early Check-In Fee $20.00

Check-Out is by 11:00 am.  Late check-Outs will be charged an additional fee of $20.00.  A front entrance combination lock is available 24 hours provides added convenience and flexibility for our guests while ensuring their safety. Whether it's a late check-in or an early departure, they can easily access the premises without having to rely on specific hours of operation. This feature enhances the overall experience and peace of mind for our guests.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANTS PER ROOM

Room occupancy is limited to a maximum of  one guests per room.  Guests reserving one room but arriving with more than one person (regardless of age) will be held to the one-person maximum occupancy and will be responsible for the full room rate regardless of whether or not they choose to stay.

 Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and is free of charge

  Access to our Wi-Fi is free for our registered guests.   Wi-Fi access code is subject to change without notice.  Wi-Fi signals are subject to change without notice depending on the room’s location, the status of our Wi-Fi equipment, and interference from other local wireless signals The Secret Place assumes no liability for guest use. 

 CHILDREN  

 Secret Place is an adult-oriented lodging, designed for single adults seeking a peaceful and quiet retreat. As our accommodations are not childproof and not equipped for infants, toddlers, or children, we cannot accommodate guests under the age of 25. We apologize for the need to emphasize this policy, but any breach will result in forfeiture of your deposit, and you will be responsible for the full cost of the reservation. Thank you for understanding and helping us maintain the serene atmosphere we offer.

PETS are not allowed

**NON-SMOKING POLICY**

Secret Place Urban Lodging is a 100% non-smoking facility. This includes recreational and medical marijuana, both of which are prohibited. If any strong-smelling substances, including marijuana, are detected upon arrival or during your stay, the reservation will be canceled immediately without a refund. This applies whether the guest smoked before arriving or during their stay. Additionally, smoking of tobacco, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, nicotine cartridges, hookahs, incense, cigars, candle burning, or the use of strong-smelling oils such as patchouli or other plant-based essential oils is strictly prohibited. Any violation of this policy will result in a minimum $500 cleaning fee, immediate eviction, and no refund.

**ROOM RESTRICTIONS**

Open flames, including candles, are not allowed in any room. Guests will be held responsible for the full cost of any damage, cleaning, or replacement due to misuse. Coolers are only permitted in rooms for medical purposes and must not exceed 12”x12” in size.

**DAMAGE AND/OR THEFT OF PROPERTY**

Guests are responsible for any damage to the property, whether caused by deliberate, negligent, or reckless actions by themselves or their party. Secret Place reserves the right to retain your credit/debit card information at check-in and charge the card for any damages or expenses incurred during your stay. If damage is discovered after departure, we reserve the right to charge the card for any necessary repairs or replacements. In cases of severe damage or illegal activity, law enforcement may be involved at our discretion.

**RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE**

Secret Place Urban Lodging reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for reasons in compliance with Federal or State laws. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that violates our policies or Missouri state law. Guests may be refused accommodation or evicted without a refund if they engage in disorderly conduct, disturb neighbors, cause damage to the property, exceed room occupancy limits, or fail to comply with the reasonable standards set by Secret Place.

**PROPERTY USE**

We reserve the right to discontinue occupancy if, in our judgment, the guest's behavior is detrimental to the property. The property cannot be used for any unlawful purposes.

**HOUSEKEEPING AND INSPECTION**

Housekeeping staff will enter the property at designated times to clean, check for safety, and verify the condition of the home. We will ensure that furnishings and equipment are in proper working order and address any violations of house rules. In the case of suspected illegal activity, management reserves the right to involve law enforcement. A minimum $300 cleaning fee will be charged for any violation of our house policies.

**NO PARTIES**

Parties, loud disturbances, or noise nuisances are not tolerated at Secret Place. Only registered guests are allowed on the premises. Non-registered visitors are prohibited. If additional guests not listed on the reservation are found, it will be considered a party, and you will be required to vacate the property immediately without a refund. A disturbance fee may also be assessed.

**PARKING AT OWN RISK**

Guest parking is available across the street or in front of the home. All vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk, and Secret Place assumes no responsibility for vehicles, occupants, or contents while parked on the property. Any vehicle left on the property without written consent after departure may be towed at the owner’s expense. Vehicle repairs are not permitted on Secret Place premises.
